Modelling the Figure in Clay Workshops

with Clara Hali
We’re taking bookings for a very special series of workshops.
 
 
BOOK 4 Days over 4 weeks, Clay Modelling, Plaster Mould, Rubber Moulds and Casting Classes. $450 (or $405 for Toolo members).
This 4 week figure sculpting course is a life-modeling class designed for both beginning and advanced students interested in the human figure as a subject of art.
Students will work with a life model and make numerous clay sketches from short poses and longer sketches from longer poses throughout the day. Students will be supplied a course sheet with further information upon booking. Clay is supplied.
 
The first class is on Sunday 27th August it’s 6 hours long (10am-4pm) .
In the following three weeks Sunday 3rd, 10th and 17th September (these sessions are 4 hours running from 12pm – 4pm).
 
ABOUT THE TEACHER – Clara Hali
Clara Hali is one of Australia’s leading figurative sculptors. She has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions for 30 years and received numerous awards and commissions. Clara was awarded the Sculpture by the Sea Distinguished Invited Artist Award, has a Master’s Degree in Fine Art, and is represented by Beaver Galleries, Canberra. She exhibits regularly at Sculpture by the Sea and lectures in the Sculpture Department at the National Art School. Her work is held in many public and private collections in Australia, as well as in New Zealand, USA, Singapore, Italy and Holland

TOOLO – Tool Library Blue Mountains hosts an artist each month to explore their craft, with the use of the tool library facilities, they will present a happening up late at the library. This month, photographer David Brazil will be presenting PAST:PRESENT:PROJECTION – analogue and digital projected works from Russia, 1993 to Katoomba 2016 inside and outside the TOOLO space..7pm till late
